Domaine Thibault Liger Belair Nuits St Georges 1er Cru "Les Saint Georges" 2020, 750ml

100% Pinot Noir from old vines (planted 1955-1965, 0.53ha) in the Nuits-Saint-Georges 1er Cru Les Saint-Georges on shallow red clay-limestone soils over hard limestone mother rock. The grapes are hand-harvested, 30% whole clusters retained, given a cold pre-fermentation maceration, and fermented with indigenous yeasts followed by 3-4 weeks total cuvaison. Aged 18 months in oak barrels using 50% new wood.

Tasting Note:

Aromas show black cherry and dark plum along with violet and liquorice notes. The palate delivers density and power with robust tannic structure and deep concentration. Overall impression is one of profound intensity and exceptional persistence reflecting the ripe yet firmly structured vintage character in Côte de Nuits Pinot Noir.
