Thibault Liger Belair Successeurs Gevrey Chambertin "En Creot" 2020, 750ml
HK$825
These vines, planted between 1950 and 1958, reaching 1.4 hectares in the northwest of the appellation in Brochon, extending from the Gevrey valley.
The vines thrive on shallow brown clay-limestone soil, with scree-covered marl from the Gevrey valley and red silt from the plateau. The name “Créot” means “chalk,” highlighting the soil type here.
The grapes are harvested manually and fully destemmed, as the limestone terroir alone provides sufficient mineral freshness to the wine.
Tasting Note:
This wine offers a fresh bouquet of bright red fruit and violet scents. The palate is sweet with notes of blood orange and red cherry/kirsch, finishing with good delineation and a Chambolle-like style.
