Thibault Liger Belair Successeurs Gevrey Chambertin "En Creot" 2020, 750ml
HK$825
These vines, planted between 1950 and 1958, span 1.4 hectares in the northwest of the appellation in Brochon, extending from the Gevrey valley.
The vines thrive on shallow brown clay-limestone soil, with scree-covered marl from the Gevrey valley and red silt from the plateau. The name “Créot” means “chalk,” highlighting the soil type here.
The grapes are harvested manually and fully destemmed, as the limestone terroir alone provides sufficient mineral freshness to the wine.
Tasting Note:
The chalky soil imparts a beautiful freshness to this wine. Its unique location brings a purity comparable to certain grand crus from this appellation.
