Domaine Perrot Minot Mazoyeres Chambertin Grand Cru 2017, 750ml

Rich intense purple, the nose suggests an additional density over and above Charmes but not the same accessible exuberance. There is a massive weight through the middle, spicy from whole bunch and mineral from the vineyard, beautifully juxtaposed at the back of the pale. There is a blood orange touch to this which can be traced to the iron oxide pellets in the vines.
