Domaine Jean Charles Rion Clos Vougeot Grand Cru "Petit Maupertuis" 2021, 750ml

Originating from a 0.55-hectare parcel in the upper Clos Vougeot, on the Flagey-Echézeaux side near Grands Echézeaux, close to the Château du Clos de Vougeot’s enclosing wall, planted in silty-clay over limestone soil.
100% Pinot Noir, the grapes were fully destemmed, fermented with native yeasts in open stainless steel vats, and aged for 18 months in French oak barrels, 50% new.

Tasting Note:

Aromas of black cherry, raspberry, and violet with a subtle earthy undertone. On the palate, it offers a firm structure, balanced acidity, and fine tannins, with concentrated fruit and a distinct mineral streak.
