Domaine Jean-Charles Rion Savigny les Beaune Les Picotins Rouge 2021, 750ml

100% Pinot Noir from the Les Picotins lieu-dit in Savigny-lès-Beaune on clay-limestone soils. The grapes are hand-harvested with rigorous sorting, fully destemmed, and undergo alcoholic fermentation with indigenous yeasts in open stainless steel vats after cold maceration, followed by 15-21 days total maceration. Aged 12 months in oak barrels using around 20% new wood.

Tasting Note:

Aromas show redcurrant and gooseberry along with spice and underbrush notes. The palate delivers lively freshness and medium body with rounded tannic structure and vibrant acidity. Overall impression is one of bright succulence and persistent elegance reflecting the fresh vintage character in Côte de Beaune Pinot Noir
