Domaine JC Rion Cote de Nuits Villages Rouge 2021, 750ml

Domaine Rion is a small family business that manages a total of 6 hectares of vineyards in Côte de Beaune, Côte de Nuits and Hautes Côtes de Nuits. The cellar is located in Nuits-Saint-Georges.  

The family started in 1995 with 1 hectare in Côte de Nuits-Villages. Slowly the domaine expanded to the current 6 hectares. Only their own fruit is used, no negociant activities. The philosophy is culture raisonnée, which means to limit chemical agents as much as possible and to work as sustainably as possible. Jean-Charles is now at the head of the domaine, son of Olivier Rion, grandson of Daniel Rion. Jean-Charles studied at the wine school of Beaune. Then in 2008 to 2010 he followed his father for three years. In 2011 he took over the helm and started a great adventure.
