Domaine JC Rion Bourgogne Aligote 2020, 750ml

This estate of almost 6ha of vines is now managed by Jean-Charles Rion (fifth generation of winegrowers), son of Olivier Rion and grandson of Daniel Rion. Created in 1995 with 1ha of vines in the Côte de Nuits Villages appellation, this estate located in Prémeaux-Prissey, now offers appellations spread over the Côte de Beaune, the Côte de Nuits and the Hautes Côtes de Nuits. 

Tasting note:

Aromas of white flowers (lily of the valley, lilac), vine peach, and lemongrass. This very open aromatic palette,  typical of the Aligoté grape variety, naturally invites us  to refresh. The attack on the palate is all sweetness and finesse. A  dominant mineral burst of flint on the palate then lets  fresh mango and passion fruit emerge. A beautiful volume on the palate for  a wine with a beautiful natural balance. All in complexity and freshness.
