Emilie Geantet Clos de Vougeot Grand Cru 2015, 750ml
For a decade between 2005 and 2015, Emilie had a negociant business under her own name, and vinified wines in the old cellars of the domaine Geantet Pansiot in Gevrey.
Armed with her academic background in winemaking and the rich legacy of her family's involvement in the wine industry, Emilie has honed her skills and made significant strides on her own.
From 2016 onwards Emilie joined the family domaine activities full time and the negociant wines ceased production.
The grapes are 100% destemmed and detailed sorted, including a 'berry by berry' selection. After maceration, fermentation occurs in oak barrels with punch downs and pump overs.
The wines are aged on lees for 12-14 months in 30-40% new oak, and bottled without fining or filtration.
Emilie Geantet crafts intensely flavored wines, characterized by perfumed and ripe fruit, offering a well-balanced profile without harsh edges.
