Domaine Lignier Michelot Clos de la Roche Grand Cru 2014, 750ml

Clos de la Roche from just below Ponsot’s Monts Luisants section. This plots, which cover around 70 ares, are located in the Genavrieres and Monts Luisants climates. These Pinot Noir vines are 45 years old. Vinified with 80% whole clusters.

Tasting Note:

A fragrant bouquet with scents of raspberry coulis and blueberry, though these recede as the wine opens in the glass to reveal more flinty, cold stone aromas. The palate is medium-bodied with succulent ripe tannin matched by a keen line of acidity.
