Domaine Jean Tardy Nuits St Georges 1er Cru "Aux Argillas" 2016, 750ml

This 0.39-hectare vineyard, planted with Pinot Noir in 1969 and 1973, features a north-south orientation with clay-limestone soil. The grapes are harvested entirely by hand, yielding approximately 34 hL per hectare. 
During vinification, the grapes are 100% de-stemmed, with 65% remaining as whole berries, and undergo minimal punch-downs. The wine is aged for 18 months in barrels (50% one-year-old, 50% new) and racked once before bottling.

Tasting Note:

Not full power, probably a little tight, but this is very delicate and floral. Some gas. But like the nose, despite plenty of volume and a little structure, very elegant. Then a burst of great finishing fruit-transparent, pure and delicious.
