Chateau de Chamirey Mercurey 1er Cru "Les Cinq" 2017, 750ml

This 100% Pinot Noir is a special cuvée made from a selection of the best barrels across the estate's five Premier Cru red vineyards: Clos des Ruelles, En Sazenay, Clos du Roi, Clos l'Évêque, and Champs-Martin. The fruit was sorted and partially destemmed before undergoing cold pre-fermentation maceration. Fermentation began in temperature-controlled vats using natural yeasts, followed by 15 months of aging in 228-liter French oak barrels (80% new oak).

Tasting Note:

The wine opens with complex aromas of dark cherry, black pepper, licorice, and subtle spice. The palate is rich and structured, with integrated tannins balanced by ripe dark fruit and refined acidity. The finish is long and fresh, leaving persistent notes of dark berries and soft spice.
