Chateau de Chamirey Mercurey Rouge 2024, 750ml

This 100% Pinot Noir is sourced from various village and Premier Cru plots across the Mercurey appellation, planted on clay-limestone soils. The fruit was sorted, fully destemmed, and cold-macerated prior to fermentation in temperature-controlled tanks using natural yeasts. The wine aged for 12 months, 70% in 228-liter French oak barrels, 20% new, and 30% in stainless steel vats—followed by additional tank refinement prior to bottling.

Tasting Note:

The wine opens with aromas of red cherry, raspberry, and wild strawberry, followed by subtle notes of spice and soft earth. The palate is medium-bodied and fresh, showing juicy red fruit flavors supported by smooth tannins and lively acidity. The finish is clean, balanced, and persistent, with a delicate berry and stone note.
