Jean Baptiste Jessiaume Bourgogne Chardonnay 2022, 750ml

Sourced from sustainably farmed Chardonnay vines situated on clay-limestone soils in the Côte de Beaune. The grapes are gently pressed and fermented using indigenous yeasts in temperature-controlled stainless steel vats and seasoned French oak barrels. The wine matures 10 to 12 months on fine lees in French oak barrels (15% new oak, 85% 2- to 5-year-old barrels) with periodic bâtonnage to build mid-palate texture before fining and bottling.

Tasting Note:

Aromas of ripe yellow apple, white peach, and lemon curd blend with notes of white blossoms, toasted hazelnut, and fresh butter. The palate is dry, medium-bodied, and well-structured, delivering a juicy core of citrus and stone fruit balanced by lively, crisp acidity and a supple, creamy texture. The finish is clean, persistent, and stony.
