Domaine Albert Grivault Meursault 1er Cru "Clos des Perrieres" 2018, 750ml

The Meursault 1er Cru Clos des Perrières comes from a distinguished terroir within the Perrières vineyard. This 0.945-hectare monopole features stony soil with a specific clay-loam-sand mix: 46% clay, 30% silt, and 24% sand. The vineyard includes both Jurassic Bathonian outcrop and colluvial deposits, similar to Montrachet.

Annually, it produces around 5,000 bottles. The wine is aged in oak barrels, 20% of which are new.

Tasting Note:

The wine is renowned for its elegant bouquet of limestone, apricot blossom, and citrus hints, with added intensity from its clay-rich soil. The palate offers a rounded, full profile with citrus fruit, marmalade, and orange sorbet notes.
