Domaine Matrot Meursault Rouge 2020, 750ml

100% Pinot Noir grown in village-level parcels on limestone-rich soils in Meursault, where red wines are rare and typically labeled under Blagny. The grapes were fully destemmed and underwent cold maceration for 3 to 6 days at 10°C, followed by fermentation lasting 12 to 18 days in stainless steel tanks with daily pumping-over and pigeage depending on the vintage. The wine was aged for 15 months on lees in French oak barrels, 20% of which were new, and then spent an additional 3 months in stainless steel to prepare for bottling.

Tasting Note:

On the nose, it shows perfumed red fruit and subtle floral lift. The palate is light and airy, with gentle extraction, fine tannins, and a clean, mineral finish. Overall, it’s a delicate and expressive red Meursault that reflects its high-altitude terroir with finesse and restraint.
