Chateau Jansenant 2018, 750ml

Château Jansenant, a 14-hectare Côtes de Bourg estate founded in 1975 and family-run for three generations, produces richer-style wines from low-yielding vines over 30 years old.

The blend is 65% Merlot and 35% Cabernet Sauvignon, fermentated in thermoregulated tanks, soft vatting for three weeks with daily pump-overs, and aged for 13 months mostly in stainless steel tanks, with a small portion in French oak barrels.

The vines grow in clay-limestone soil using sustainable viticulture. The estate holds HVE Level 3 certification.

Tasting Note:

Rich and structured, this wine reflects the vintage. A dense wine, it balances toastiness and smoky flavors from wood aging with licorice and black-plum fruits.
