Chateau Gazin Morier 2019, 750ml
Château Gazin Morier is produced in the Côtes de Bourg appellation, Bordeaux, from a vineyard with clay-limestone soils. The blend is around 70% Merlot, 20% Cabernet Sauvignon, and 10% Malbec, with vines averaging 25 years old, planted at a density of 5,000 per hectare. Grapes are harvested manually, followed by fermentation in stainless steel tanks for three weeks with regular pump-overs to extract color and tannins. Malolactic fermentation occurs in tanks, and the wine is aged for 12 months in French oak barrels, 20% new, with quarterly rackings.
Tasting Note:
The wine shows aromas of blackberry, cassis, and subtle spice from oak. On the palate, it offers a smooth texture with moderate tannins, balanced acidity, and flavors of ripe dark fruit and a hint of pepper, finishing with a touch of minerality.
