Amrut Indian Single Malt, 700ml
Amrut is a family-owned Indian distillery that produces high-quality single malts.
Founded in 1948, it uses naturally filtered water from the Arkavathy River and sources barley from India and Scotland to experiment with peated and unpeated malts.
They utilize two different-sized pot stills and traditional methods to achieve complex layers of flavor.
Amrut employs a variety of cask types for maturation, including ex-bourbon, ex-sherry, ex-rum, and first-fill French oak, resulting in a broad range of expressions.
Indian Single Malt The flagship of the distillery is made from malted barley, both Indian and Scottish barley used, and aged in a combination of ex-bourbon, ex-sherry, and ex-rum casks.
Aromas: Distinctly confident liquorice-bourbon notes with near-perfect bitter-sweet balance; burnt honeycomb and toffee also abound.
