Benromach 2012 Peat Smoke Bourbon Barrel, 700ml

Benromach Contrasts Peat Smoke is crafted in small batches using heavily peated barley (55ppm). This whisky is made with the finest Scottish barley, malted with high levels of peat smoke. Matured in first-fill bourbon barrels, it delivers sweet and smoky aromas with rich vanilla, banana, and toasted malt, followed by a lemon finish. Distilled in 2012 and bottled in 2022 at 46% ABV, it offers a unique and flavorful experience.

Tasting Note:

Nose: Rich smoke with aromatic vanilla and a touch of citrus zest. Notes of apples emerge, accompanied by white chocolate.

Palate: Smooth with toasted oak, honey, and sweet ripe fruit. Butterscotch and marshmallow flavors transition to lemon sherbet, all mingling with sweet smoke.

Finish: Mouth-coating sweetness and lingering bonfire embers.
