Old Pulteney 35 Year Old, 700ml
Founded in 1826 by James Henderson and George Traill, the Old Pulteney Distillery holds the distinction of being one of the northernmost distilleries in Scotland.
Old Pulteney's whiskies capture the taste of the sea in every drop with coastal and salty flavors, thanks to its location near the North Sea.
Released in 2014 this 35-year-old whisky aged in both ex-bourbon and sherry casks. Only 450 bottles were ever made.
Aromas: The nose unveils a captivating intensity, layers of dried fruit mingling with dark chocolate, warm spices, and honey. Hints of treacle and creamy vanilla peek through, alongside whispers of dark stone fruits, aged oak, and a touch of toasted smoke.
Palate: The 35 yo offers a rich maturity, bursting with fruit cake, sweet citrus peel, and roasted almonds. A fleeting whisper of resinous freshness and spice dances on the tongue before melting into a long, balanced finish.
