St. Magdalene was a producer of Scotch whisky located in the Royal Burgh of Linlithgow, in the Lowlands. The distillery was built in the mid-18th century and was permanently closed in 1983. This is a rare single malt distilled just before St. Magdalene’s closure and bottled in 2001 by Gordon & MacPhail. A mellow and easy-drinking expression, exhibiting notes of stone and tropical fruits, liquorice, grapefruit and some herbal undertones.
