Domaine Rapet Pernand Vergelesses Rouge "Les Belles Filles" 2019, 375ml

The "Belles Filles" climat poetically refers to a locality where young women went for romantic dates.

The Pernand-Vergelesses "Belles Filles" is facing east across from the village of Pernand. The steep slope is protected from erosion by limestone banks, and the soil is red due to ferruginous clay.

Fermentation lasts 15 days with punch downs, allowing the wine to soak up the richness and color from the grape skins before pressing. The wine ages in 20% new oak barrels.

Tasting Note:

Notes of sweet berry fruit, cherries and cassis, complemented by an elegant top note of orange rind. Medium-bodied, melting and elegantly gourmand, it's bright and charming, concluding with a perfumed finish.
