Kavalan Triple Sherry Cask, Year of the Horse, 700ml

Triple Sherry Cask Single Malt Whisky is a rare combination of three exquisite sherry aged casks: Oloroso, Pedro Ximénez, and Moscatel, with the dried fruits of Oloroso as its main character. This Special Edition was bottled at 40%, and released to celebrate the year of the horse.

Tasting Note:

Aromas of ripe cherries, mulled berries, sticky dates, sultanas and prune jam, layered with dark chocolate, caramel and a hint of rosemary. With air, latte, gingerbread and polished oak emerge, evoking a sherry cellar with tropical undertones.

The palate is plush and vibrant, opening with glazed plums, treacle toffee and almond praline, balanced by cranberry tartness and nutmeg. Fine tannins and barrel char lead to a long finish of sherry-soaked raisins, soft malt warmth and herbal cocoa.

A poised sherry expression from Kavalan, marrying fruit opulence with harmony. Superb now, with 5–10 years of evolution ahead; a standout in the 2025 collection.
