Distilled in 1979 and bottled on June 19, 2024 at 53.2% ABV, this Highland single malt was matured for 44 years in a refill American hogshead (Cask #3312), yielding 124 bottles. It is non-chill filtered and bottled without added colour. Glenlochy distillery, closed in the early 1980s, was known for producing waxy and fruit-driven spirits, and this bottling preserves that character through extended maturation and careful cask selection.

Tasting Note:

On the nose, the whisky opens with vanilla, mint, and tropical fruits including tangerine, peach, guava, and papaya, with a waxy touch and hints of pollen. The palate is rich and layered, showing sandalwood, crème caramel, ginger, honey, lemon drops, candied fruit, and green pineapple. The finish is medium in length, with notes of tea leaves, fennel, and toasted oak. This bottling offers a vibrant and mature profile shaped by decades of slow ageing and the distinctive style of a lost Highland distillery.
