Georg Muller "Frankenthal" Spatburgunder V.D.P. Erste Lage 2018, 750ml

This is a dry Pinot Noir from the Frankenthal vineyard in Assmannshausen, Rheingau. The vineyard's soils are primarily composed of phyllite slate and clay. The wine is hand-harvested, destemmed, fermented on the skins for about two weeks, and aged in small French oak barrels for 10-18 months.

Tasting Note:

On the nose, it offers aromas of dark cherry, blackberry, wild strawberry, ethereal notes, herbs, forest floor, and black pepper. The palate is juicy and compact with flavors of wild strawberries, cherries, sweet cherry, integrated wood, savouriness, and mineral tones, supported by vivid acidity and good substance.
