Founded in 1972 located in Speyside, it's a relatively young distillery compared to some in the region. Ownership initially belonged to Justerini & Brooks (J&B), but after a merger in 1997, it's currently owned by Diageo.

Auchroisk's primary purpose upon establishment was to create a reliable malt whisky specifically for J&B's blended scotch. However, over time, it has also gained recognition for its own single malt bottling.  These single malts are known fa balance between malty sweetness, a hint of smoke, and subtle fruit notes.

Traditionally, Auchroisk matured their whisky in ex-bourbon casks, however, in recent years, they've begun to experiment with a wider range of cask finishes, including European oak and sherry casks.

Nose: Vanilla fudge, raspberries, and cinnamon.

Palate: Fresh herbs, licorice, clementine, and toffee.

Finish: Brown sugar lingers with coffee and marzipan.
