Chateau Saint Georges St Emilion 2016, 750ml
Château Saint-Georges is a 45-hectare estate in the smallest satellite appellation of Saint-Emilion, producing three wines. The limestone and clay soils are ideal for cultivating Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Cabernet Franc, with grapes hand-harvested and traditionally vinified.
Royal Heritage: This historic estate dates back to the Gallo-Roman period and was once owned by King Henry IV. The current château, built in 1772, has been in the Desbois family since 1891. In 2015, Jean-Philippe Janoueix became co-owner and manager, continuing its legacy of excellence.
Tasting Note:
A deep red color with hints purple. Superbly intense and complex, the wine has notes of cassis, blackberry and blueberry fused harmoniously with notes of sweet spices like nutmeg and cloves. A dense wine with tannin structure that combines the elegance and concentration.
