Mt. Beautiful Pinot Noir 2020, 750ml

100% Pinot Noir from estate vineyards in North Canterbury (Cheviot Hills) on gravelly limestone and clay soils at 60-120m elevation. The grapes are hand-harvested from selected clones, fully destemmed, given a short cold soak, and undergo alcoholic fermentation with indigenous yeasts in open-top fermenters with gentle manual punch-downs. Malolactic completed. Aged 11 months in French oak barriques using 20% new wood.

Tasting Note:

Aromas show red cherry and plum along with violet and subtle earth notes. The palate delivers medium body and succulence with fine tannic structure and fresh acidity. Overall impression is one of pure elegance and persistent clarity reflecting the cool maritime vintage character in North Canterbury Pinot Noir.
