Cakebread Cellars "Dancing Bear Ranch" Cabernet 2013, 750ml

Made exclusively from Dancing Bear Ranch on Howell Mountain, this high-elevation vineyard, with its rocky soils and cool climate, is ideal for growing Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Cabernet Franc.

A blend of  93% Cabernet Sauvignon and 7% Merlot.

Aged 22 months in 50% new French oak, 50% neutral French oak.

Tasting Note:

Aromas of ripe boysenberry, dark plum and cassis are layered with scents of loam, forest-floor spice and dark chocolate. On the palate, intense, concentrated flavors of blackberry, black cherry, boysenberry, plum and chocolate are balanced by well-structured, ripe tannins and culminate in a very long, persistent finish highlighting dark berry, earthy spice and mineral tones.
