Herdade do Esporao Monte Velho Tinto 2023, 375ml

This is a blend of Aragonez, Trincadeira, Touriga Nacional, Alicante Bouschet, and Syrah, sourced from sustainably farmed vineyards in Alentejo with granitic and schist-derived clay-loam soils and vines averaging 18 years of age. The grapes were mechanically harvested, fully destemmed, and fermented in stainless steel tanks using selected yeasts, followed by malolactic fermentation and ageing for 3 to 5 months in stainless steel, with no oak influence.

The wine shows aromas of wild berries and subtle spice, with a medium to full-bodied palate, smooth tannins, and a balanced, fruit-forward finish that reflects the warm, dry conditions of the 2023 vintage.
