Bertinga "Sassi Chiusi" 2017, 1.5L

A true “Second wine” that offers approachability and value for money for everyday enjoyment. Sassi Chiusi is a selection from all the vineyards of the estate: Adine, Bertinga and Vertine

Blended: 85% Sangiovese and 15% Merlot and vinified in temperature-controlled stainless-steel vats and concrete tanks. Aged in stainless-steel vats and concrete tanks for 18 months. Bottle aged for 12 months prior to release.

Tasting Note:

Dark ruby-crimson center with garnet-brick tones at the rim. The nose is redolent of black plum, redcurrants, and blackberry. Savory tones of aged tobacco, worn leather, and dusty earth speak clearly of the Tuscan landscape with its dried herbs and licorice tones. A broad mouthfeel is detailed and rugged in its aromatics, while possessing a softness to the edges and a nice length.
