Kavalan 15 Year Old "Four Cask Matured", 750ml

Kavalan 15 Year Old Single Malt Whisky 2025 Edition is the distillery’s first age-statement release, marking a milestone in Taiwanese whisky production. Bottled at 43% ABV, it was matured in a combination of ex-bourbon, Oloroso sherry, Ruby Port, and Puncheon casks. The whisky was crafted from hand-selected aged reserves and blended to achieve depth and balance across multiple layers of complexity. A total of 30,000 bottles were released globally.

Tasting Note:

On the nose, the whisky opens with caramel apple mousse, fresh chocolate, walnut cinnamon rolls, and creamy popcorn, with hints of dried tangerine peel and plum. The palate is lush and layered, showing bergamot, lemon, orange, and grapefruit, alongside dried cranberries, raisins, and longan. The finish is warm and lingering, with notes of dark chocolate gelato, caramel walnut coffee mousse, and woody cinnamon spice. This bottling offers a rich and harmonious profile shaped by diverse cask influences and long maturation.
