Domaine Matrot Meursault 1er Cru "Charmes" 2020, 750ml

100% Chardonnay sourced from approximately one hectare of vines across three parcels in the Charmes 1er Cru climat in Meursault, with 70% from Charmes-Dessus and 30% from Charmes-Dessous on thin, well-drained rocky calcareous soils. The domaine follows reasoned viticulture with organic fertilization and regular soil ploughing. The grapes are hand harvested and whole bunch pressed, followed by slow alcoholic fermentation with indigenous yeasts and complete malolactic fermentation. The wine is aged for 12 months on lees in French oak barrels aged between 1 and 3 years with no new oak.

Tasting Note:

Aromas of ripe lemon, yellow apple, honeysuckle and subtle mineral notes on the nose. The palate offers good concentration with fine tension, creamy texture balanced by vibrant acidity and saline minerality. The finish is long, precise and composed.
