Domaine Jean Tardy Bourgogne Hautes Cotes de Nuits "Cuvee Maelie" 2018, 750ml

This 1.04-hectare (2.57-acre) vineyard, planted with Pinot Noir in 1966, is situated above Vosne Romanee in (Concoeur) and features an east-west orientation with clay-limestone and silt soil. 
During vinification, the grapes are 100% destemmed, with 65% remaining as whole berries. The process includes a cold pre-fermentation maceration at 10°C and minimal punch-downs. The wine is then aged for 15 months in one-year-old barrels and racked once before bottling, resulting in a refined and elegant Pinot Noir.

Tasting Note:

Ripe aromas of black cherry, raspberry, and licorice. Medium-bodied with sweet berry and cherry flavors, firm acidity, and leathery nuance. Fine, dusty tannins suggest slow evolution.
