Domaine Jean Tardy Cote de Nuits Villages "Aux Boulardes" Rouge 2021, 750ml is backordered and will ship as soon as it is back in stock.
Côte de Nuits-Villages “Aux Boulardes” 2021 is made from 100% destemmed Pinot Noir grown on 1.39 hectares of silt-rich Comblanchien limestone in the village of Comblanchien, located between Nuits-Saint-Georges and Premeaux-Prissey. Vines were planted between 1966 and 1989. Fermentation begins with a one-week cold maceration in thermo-regulated stainless steel tanks, followed by a three-week indigenous yeast fermentation with minimal punch-downs and pump-overs. The wine is aged for 16 months in oak barrels, 25% of which are new.
Tasting Note:
On the nose, it shows red cherries, herbal and mineral notes with hints of tea and dried earth. The palate is linear, showing ripe red fruit, firm structure, and a clean mineral finish. Overall, it is a precise and expressive wine that exceeds expectations for its appellation.
