Domaine Jean Tardy Nuits St Georges "Au Bas de Combe" V.V. 2019, 750ml

This 0.45-hectare vineyard, planted with Pinot Noir in 1937, is located on the Vosne-Romanée side near Les Chaumes and Les Réas, featuring clay-limestone soil. 
The grapes here often exhibit millerandage and are harvested entirely by hand, yielding approximately 33 hL/ha. During vinification, the grapes are 100% de-stemmed, with 65% remaining as whole berries, and undergo minimal punch-downs. The wine is aged for 16 months in barrels (60% one-year-old, 40% new) and racked once before bottling.

Tasting Note:

It's subtle aroma of red fruits, such as blackcurrant and raspberry. Upon tasting, there is a perfect blend of fruitiness, tannins and acidity that creates a well-balanced and complex flavour.
