Domaine Jean-Charles Rion Bourgogne Hautes Cotes de Nuits Chardonnay "Les Millottes" 2021, 750ml

100% Chardonnay from old vines (planted 1970s-1980s) in the Les Millottes lieu-dit high above Nuits-Saint-Georges on limestone-rich soils with marl and clay. The grapes are hand-harvested, pneumatically pressed, and undergo alcoholic fermentation with indigenous yeasts in temperature-controlled stainless-steel tanks. Malolactic completed. Aged 12 months in oak barrels with modest new wood.

Tasting Note:

Aromas show lemon zest and green apple along with white flowers and light hazelnut notes. The palate delivers medium body and tension with crisp structure and bright acidity. Overall impression is one of pure freshness and persistent clarity reflecting the fresh vintage character in Hautes-Côtes de Nuits Chardonnay.
