Domaine des Berthiers "Cuvee d'Eve" Pouilly Fume 2022, 750ml

Cuvee d'Eve is made from old vines of Sauvignon Blanc planted in Silex soils at the foot of the Saint Andelain hill. This wine is harvested when the grapes are perfectly ripe, gently pressed, cold-stabilized for 8 days, and then fermented at a low temperature. It matures for 10 months on its lees, with 30% aged in new oak barrels.

Tasting Note:

The 2022 opens with aromas of ripe white peach, pineapple, grapefruit, lemon zest, and acacia with subtle toasted oak and pronounced flinty smoke. The palate is medium to full-bodied with rich yet precise fruit, creamy texture balanced by vibrant acidity, smoky minerality, and a long, structured, persistent finish. Powerful, complex, and refined.
