Domaine Ramonet Chassagne Montrachet 1er Cru "Morgeot" 2021, 750ml

100% Chardonnay from old vines in the Morgeot Premier Cru (multiple parcels within the climat, including Fairendes and others) on mid-slope Chassagne-Montrachet with red clay and limestone soils. The grapes are hand-harvested, whole cluster pressed, and undergo alcoholic fermentation with indigenous yeasts in tank before transfer to oak barrels. Malolactic completed. Aged 12-15 months in oak barrels using 30% new wood with extended lees contact and no batonnage.

Tasting Note:

Aromas show pear and citrus peel along with hazelnut and chalk notes. The palate delivers dense structure and richness with firm mineral backbone and lively acidity. Overall impression is one of powerful balance and sustained persistence reflecting the cool yet concentrated vintage character.
