Domaine Ramonet Saint Aubin 1er Cru "Les Murgers des Dents de Chien" 2020, 750ml

100% Chardonnay from old vines in the Les Murgers des Dents de Chien 1er Cru on the steep, high-elevation limestone slope above Saint-Aubin, directly contiguous with Le Montrachet Grand Cru. The grapes are hand-harvested, whole cluster pressed, and undergo alcoholic fermentation with indigenous yeasts in tank before transfer to oak barrels. Malolactic completed. Aged 12-15 months in oak barrels using 30% new wood with extended lees contact and no batonnage.

Tasting Note:

Aromas show white peach and lemon oil along with chalk and white flower notes. The palate delivers intense minerality and tension with racy acidity and tightly coiled texture. Overall impression is one of electric precision and exceptionally long persistence reflecting the high-altitude limestone character of Les Murgers des Dents de Chien.
