Domaine Guy Amiot Beaune 1er Cru "Champs Pimont" Blanc 2021, 750ml
Beaune 1er Cru "Champs Pimont" Blanc 2021 is sourced from a 0.18 ha east-facing parcel on mid-slope in Beaune, planted with 40-year-old Chardonnay vines on limestone, chalk, and clay soils. Introduced to the domaine’s range in 2021, this site—translated as “the fields at the bottom of the mountain”—was selected for its chalky soil and saline mineral profile. Grapes are hand-harvested and sorted, fermented in tank with indigenous yeasts, and undergo spontaneous malolactic fermentation. The wine is aged in French oak barrels for 12 months, with 20% new oak used, followed by a short period in tank before bottling.
Tasting Note:
Aromas show citrus, white flowers, and crushed stone. The palate is vibrant and mineral, with firm acidity and a saline edge. The finish is clean and persistent, with ageing potential up to 8 years.
