Chateau Fontarabie 2019, 750ml

Château Fontarabie, a 15-hectare estate in Blaye Côtes de Bordeaux, has been owned by the Faure family since 1995, with Delphine Faure Maison producing Merlot-driven wines from a single-block vineyard with 25-year-old vines, 
The blend is 70% Merlot and 30% Cabernet Sauvignon, that are cold macerated, fermentated in thermoregulated tanks, soft vatting for three weeks, and aged for 10 months in French oak barrels from five coopers.
The vineyards are grown in gravelly clay soil using sustainable integrated viticulture, earning the estate an HVE Level 3 certification. 

Tasting Note

Purple colour. Modern nose of new oak, vanilla, toast, floral dark fruit and liquorice. The palate is fairly dense but rounded despite its youth, juicy dark fruit, mild tannin, present but integrated oak and good length.
