Mount Riley Chardonnay 2024, 750ml

100% Chardonnay from estate and grower vineyards across Marlborough, primarily Awatere Valley and Wairau Valley on stony alluvial and clay-loam soils. The grapes are hand and machine harvested, gently pressed, and undergo alcoholic fermentation with selected and indigenous yeasts in stainless steel tanks with a small portion in older French oak barrels. Malolactic partially blocked to retain freshness. Aged 6-8 months in stainless steel and neutral oak on fine lees with occasional stirring.

Tasting Note:

Aromas show peach and nectarine along with lemon zest and subtle oatmeal notes. The palate delivers medium body and crispness with juicy texture and bright acidity. Overall impression is one of vibrant freshness and clean persistence reflecting the cool climate style of Marlborough Chardonnay
