Jean Baptiste Jessiaume Bourgogne Pinot Noir 2023, 750ml
Jean Baptiste Jessiaume Bourgogne Pinot Noir 2023, 750ml is backordered and will ship as soon as it is back in stock.
Sourced from sustainably farmed Pinot Noir vines planted on clay-limestone soils in the Côte de Beaune. The grapes are fully destemmed and macerated at low temperature for 3 to 5 days to extract gentle color and fruit precursors. Fermentation takes place using indigenous yeasts in open-top, temperature-controlled stainless steel vats with light, manual pigeage (punch-downs) and remontage (pump-overs). The wine ages for 10 to 12 months on fine lees in French oak barrels (15% new oak, 85% neutral barrels) prior to bottling without heavy filtration.
Tasting Note:
Aromas of vibrant red cherry, wild raspberry, and crushed red currant pair with delicate notes of violet, subtle forest floor, and clove. The palate is medium-bodied and supple, delivering a core of fresh red berry fruit framed by fine, silky tannins and bright, integrated acidity. The finish is clean, energetic, and stony.
