Domaine Albert Grivault Meursault "Clos du Murger" 2019, 750ml
Meursault Clos du Murger is named after the typical stones found in the region. This name is a registered trademark, referring to the vineyard's fully enclosed area surrounded by walls over 2 meters high, which also gives its name to the adjacent village square.
The 1.65 ha vineyard, planted in 1971 and facing southwest, produces around 9,300 bottles annually. This wine shows the unique characteristics of Clos du Murger, with its distinctive stony terroir and southwest facing.
Tasting Note:
The 2019 Meursault Clos du Murger begins with a reserved aroma, gradually revealing hints of lime flower, wet stone, and nectarine as it breathes. The palate is well-balanced with refreshing acidity, featuring a nice citrusy edge and a pleasant hazelnut note on the finish. This wine will benefit from another two to three years of aging in the bottle.
