Domaine Matrot Saint Romain Blanc 2020, 750ml

Chardonnay planted in clay limestone soils. Grapes were hand harvested gently pressed and fermented in temperature controlled stainless steel vats using indigenous yeast. The wine was aged for about 12 months in French oak barrels with approximately 20% new oak to add subtle texture while preserving freshness and minerality.

Tasting Note:

The nose shows aromas of citrus white flowers and crushed stone with a hint of hazelnut. The palate is dry and precise with vibrant acidity layered citrus fruit and a firm mineral backbone leading to a long clean finish. Overall it offers a classic and elegant expression of Saint Romain with clarity and tension.
