Tyrrell's "Vat 8" Shiraz Cabernet 2019, 750ml

The Shiraz is sourced from some of the best parcels on the Tyrrell’s Estate ‘Ashmans’ property, with the Cabernet Sauvignon coming from McLaren Vale. The 2019 vintage blend is 90% Shiraz and 10% Cabernet Sauvignon. (multi region blend).

After fermentation in stainless steel vats, both parcels were matured separately before blending in November. The blended wine then finished its maturation in French oak barriques until bottling in April 2020.

Tasting Note:

A modern style of Australian red. It shows intense plum fruit sweetness from the Shiraz, while the Cabernet component adds to the length and fullness, with characters of dark berry and chocolate.
