Chateau Kirwan 2021, 1.5L

A blend of 73 % Cabernet Sauvignon, 13 % Merlot, 8 % Cabernet-franc, 6 % Petit Verdot. Aged for 16 months in 50% new casks and 50% second-fill casks.

Tasting Note:

The Kirwan opens with crushed rose petal, bright red-toned fruit, cedar and a hint of pipe tobacco. Fresh and vibrant, with mid-weight structure, the 2021 is a wine of under stantement more than anything else. I find it refined and refreshing, two attributes that will serve it well for a number of years.
