Boscarelli "Prugnolo" Rosso di Montepulciano 2020, 750ml

Fruit from vineyards in Cervognano at 300 meters above sea level on alluvial soils rich in sand, gravel, lime, silt, and clay. The blend is 85% Sangiovese Prugnolo Gentile and 15% Mammolo. Grapes are destemmed and softly pressed before fermentation with indigenous yeasts in stainless steel tanks. The wine ages 6 months in cement vats where malolactic fermentation occurs, followed by short bottle refinement before release.

Tasting Notes:

Aromas of red cherry, plum, violet, and wild strawberry. The palate shows medium body with fresh red fruit, zesty acidity, sweet herbs, and fine tannins. Overall, this is vibrant and fruit-focused with 4-6 years of aging potential.
