Domaine Lignier Michelot Fixin 1er Cru "Les Arvelets" 2019, 750ml

100% Pinot Noir from old vines (planted 1947 and 1962) in the Fixin Premier Cru Les Arvelets lieu-dit (0.38ha) on steep, east-facing marly limestone soils with abundant stone. The grapes are hand-harvested, vinified with 80-100% whole clusters and short cold maceration without punch-downs, and undergo alcoholic fermentation with indigenous yeasts. Malolactic completed. Aged 18-20 months in oak barrels using around 40% new wood.

Tasting Note:

Aromas show black raspberry and dark cherry along with earth and graphite notes. The palate delivers dense concentration and power with firm tannic grip and fresh acidity. Overall impression is one of brooding intensity and long mineral persistence reflecting the ripe yet structured vintage character in Côte de Nuits Pinot Noir.
